James and Mark are Riding 800km's for the Kids !!!! » 8 January, 2010

Hello Boot Campers !

James and Mark are riding 800km’s through Thailand from Bankok to Khao Lak, raising money to build orphanages for the kids who lost their Families and homes in the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami.

The kids were literally left on the streets with no home, no parents, no relatives and no Government assistance. (There is no welfare system in Thailand).
If we didn’t do anything about it, how we could we expect others to do something.
The charity, ‘Hands Across The Water’, appealed to us as 100% of every dollar raised goes to helping the kids. There are No administration costs. That’s a good thing.
Already 2 orphanages have been built and we have successfully got around 80 children off the streets and into a safe, loving and happy environment. But there is more to do and the kids are depending on us, so the ride is a fun way to raise some much needed donations.
